A Lamborghini that makes no sense... this Friday on Rally.

The weather is getting a little crisper, and that means its IPO season on Rally…

In November, we’ll start sharing details on a first of its kind Dinosaur offering that is literally still in the ground, but before that we’ve got something special lined up for this coming Friday.

There are very few automotive brand that have impacted culture like Lamborghini. They’re extreme in all aspects and in the case of our newest IPO, the incredibly rare 1994 Diablo VTTT, they’re Vicious

While they may be impractical compared to the utilitarian reliability of Honda or Toyota, they ignite the senses like nothing else—almost like a barely legal thrill. Unlike Ferraris or McLarens, Lamborghinis carry an air of defiance and deviance that resonates with fans and dreamers alike.

The Diablo was the true 90s poster on the wall, and it’s a model in which Rally investors have seen outsized success (we recently exited our Diablo SE30 for $975K, a 63.18% return and a sale that represented the second highest public sale ever for any Diablo).

This one is more than just a Diablo though…

In the 90s, 434 Diablo “VTs” were built. However, this is no ordinary VT - it has two more T’s. The VTTT was a project by Lamborghini importer and dealer out of California, Platinum Motors, featuring two turbochargers. Dubbed the “Vicious Traction Twin Turbo,” this is one of 7 cars believed to have ever been built.

The project was conceived by the infamous Lamborghini character and US distributor, Vik Keuylian. Vik’s history in the car business is as shockingly colorful as the special hue of red Lamborghini named after him (“Rosso Vik”). The edginess of the personalities behind the cars add to the mystique today in the kinds of stories and folklore you simply can’t make up, and the performance statistics are mind boggling even by today’s standards:

750 hp (with rumors of up to 850), 22 mph top speed (255 in some claims), 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, and a $500,000 MSRP (2x the base car).

This particular example has 8,700 miles and is presented in a classic combination of Black over snowcorn interior, and it comes from the same expert Lamborghini historian and collector from whom we sourced our recent record setting Lambos.

The secret Lamborghini projects are the ones that always seem to resonate with the nostalgists and the Lamborghini purists alike - and we’ve seen the same excitement from the Rally community as we delivered a million dollar buyout offer to investors on the secret side-project Countach Turbo in March of this year. No matter what happens at auctions or in secondary markets, the one-of-fews tend to be the vechiles that get the attention. We certainly feel that to be the case here, and we look forward to releasing this offering this coming Friday at Noon EST.

$590,000 total value. $20 per share. 10/18/2024.
